From The Desk Of Kyle Brennan: July 2021 - Illinois State University Athletics

I sit down to write this note six months to the day after starting this amazing job. It has been a whirlwind for me and my family, but truly an amazing experience.

Kyle won the first six months with lots of challenges ahead. There will be major challenges in the late summer and fall as football and basketball return. I'm sure that increasing attendance is a goal but that won't be easy. Winning helps but he doesn't have much control over that in the short run.

Huge emphasis on Indoor Practice facility as top priority, including a recent $2 mill donation toward the cause. Thanks, Hulka.

Lots of challenges for brennean. I can say with certainty that last year was very rough for isu athletics financially.
