Huge win! Nice to get the Badgers back after recent losses in MBB, WBB, VB, and FB. Next up is a winnable tournament at UNLV.

Incredible game for Paige Robinson. Tied Juju's career high. Had 37 points on 14/19 shooting and 7/7 from 3!!! Along with 6 rebounds. Going into the season, I was slightly concerned where our scoring would come from despite 4/5 starters returning. Robinson has filled that void. Major props to the coaching staff for getting her on board.

Does anyone know the status of Jada Stinson? Her quickness really adds a different dynamic to the offense. And also the transfer Daijah Smith? I haven't been following the coverage of the team so far, so wasn't sure.

Be interesting how physical Valley teams play to disrupt Robinson's offense. I know Coach wanted to add some physicality to the team this year to help when playing against the Iowas in post season play.

Last year, at Kohl Center, Badger women beat ISU by 10, and it wasn't really that close - the lead was 17 with 1:44 left, and the Birds scored 7 straight to cut it to ten. I was there, and they handled the Birds pretty well, and I remember describing on this board the difference between the teams in terms of power and quickness and physicality - the Badger women were bigger and stronger and moved with more strength than ISU. Glad to see ISU get it turned around this year, not sure how they measured up in terms of power and strength and so forth, but the result was surely better.

Dmills, I thought Coach G reported in an interview earlier that both Stinson and Smth are recovering from injuries but will be back sooner rather than later. Maybe that's only Stinson tho, can't remember.

Paige Robinson appears to be a great add.

Did a little research and it looks like Stinson could be back soon. Smith had a season ending knee-injury.

This was such a fun game to watch from start to finish. We probably started to try and work the clock a little to soon in the 4th quarter but still got the job done.
I thought our defense did a great job. Made it hard for Wisconsin to score. Paige Robinson was amazing yesterday. I could watch her shoot all day. I'm with Rollbirds5, how did she not transfer up sooner? So glad she is a Redbird. Props to Mary Crompton also. Teams know not to let her along at the 3 point line but she still always gets her buckets. Jasmine McGinnis-Taylor gave us some great minutes in the first half while Deanna was on the bench trying to get a nose bleed under control. Good to see her step up when we needed her.
Still lots of players on the injured list. Hannah Kelle was dressed but I'm guessing not really ready for game action.
Looking like it is going to be another fun season of basketball.

I think we better enjoy Coach Gillespie while she is here because it may not be much longer. She is destined for a big time program.

I love what she said during her post game. "We prepared this week like we were going to win. This was not a surprise to us."

She has GREAT family athletic chops and she is a quality person top to bottom - outside of basketball. We're lucky to have her. She deserves our support!!

A lot of folks gripe about her, but Leanna Bordner has the lead in the hires of Kristen Gillespie, Leah Johnson, Allie Matters, and Tina Kramos (longtime ISU assistant and she won't miss a beat). Barb Smith was a debacle, but she hit homers for sure with Kristen and Leah and I believe Allie will give us Leah-type results. Give her some credit, Redbirds.
