I wasn't watching or tracking either ... after slow starts, he got 16 carries for 102 yards, plsu 3 catches for 18 yards. Oshaughnessy had 4 catches for 40 yards ... great day for our Redbirds !! They lost by 3 but gave Titans a great game.

Way to go, JR. Can't say I expected him to quickly become a 100 yd rusher in the NFL, but I'm also not surprised at all that he's putting his shoulder to wheel with this opportunity. If he can stay healthy, who knows what he'll do.

I was trying to think of other RBs the 'birds have put in the NFL, and Aveion Cason is the only one I could come up with. Cason served as a kick returner primarily but had his share of rushes in back up roles for a number of teams. He never had a 100 yd game, afaik.

Well, technically ---- didn't Boomer Grigsby finish out as a FB? pro-football-reference.com lists Joe Washington (1973) and Joe Vodicka (43-45) and Mike Zimmer (2014). But Cason is the only one with "real" stats.

Interesting site. Lots of Redbird names I don't recognize among the 36 that have spent time on NFL rosters. Vodicka had 3 rushes for -1 yd over 2 yrs during WWII. Joe Washington had pretty good numbers in his sole year in the pros, but is overshadowed on the internets by the Joe Washington from Oklahoma.

Nice list. Mark Rodenhauser was a damn good long snapper in the league. Played at some point for the Bears. After his career, he worked with long snappers, I sent my kids to him including my son. Real good guy. I got the ISU discount!

We did not get the game here but I watched the Jaquar highlights. JR looked really good. He blocked well too the few plays they included in the highlight reel. I am hoping we get the Miami game here next week. I would like to see JR and O'Saughnessy play. The Irishman had a nice catch on the highlight reel as well. ISU-South!

Not much mention of the Redbirds yet but if they keep playing well I think some mention will happen. It is a pretty good story I think. Two players that did not play at the same time at ISU end up teammates in the NFL. The FCS program with two players contributing. Probably not going to be more than a local story but it seems to be a pretty good tale to me. I would think it will be great for recruiting. Quite a few players in the NFL for an FCS team. A testament to the coaches and program. Also the players of course.

Stats show JR with 7 carries for 36 yards and a TD, and 1 reception for 24 yards. I swear they just said he was over 50 yards rushing, but he stats don't show it. He's looking good, getting love again from the announcers.

Here's all his highlights vs the Dolphins. I told my buddy to draft him. I even said he'd score a couple of TD's. Not often do I get to feel like a psychic.

So, dude had a THIRTY fantasy point night last night, which will put him in the top 7 overall RBs in fantasy. His 340 scrimmage yards and 3 TD in 3 games makes him the only undrafted player in NFL history to surpass 300 yards and at least one score in their first 3 games.

This dude is going to not only win Rookie of the Year, but is on pace to make the pro bowl.

How on EARTH did 30 teams pass on him SEVEN times?! Stupid bears.

another very impressive day for james .. they are really looking for him a lot out of the backfield now.

Very impressive .. just wish announcers would refer to James Robinson, undrafted FA out of ILLINOIS STATE more often .. would it kill them ???
