Hey, I'm close to big J and his family. Call me an uncle if you would. If I offended any of you, I'm sorry. The recruiting game can be ugly and I really did hear some things that I did not like regarding conversations that he had with the staff.

When it came down to it, big guy did not bite on their last push to get him to commit. Then they requested a meeting (which J did not want to attend) just to tell him that he did not impress them in the summer. This after he played the best ball of his life and dropped 25 lbs. They also advised that they had "a lot" of good players at his position (LOL!) almost indicating that he would not be good enough for them. Well...you all see how that's going with the big's this year.

To gloat about the Wright St game just validated a lot for me. To see the team who thought they were too good for my guy get blown out by the team he signed with was awesome. Not just beat them but showed to be on another level as a program. Showed me that big fella made a great choice and is going to a far better program. Showed me that whatever they said to him in that meeting was B/S.

But lets leave this on a cordial note. I've met Pedon, good guy. Lets see what he can do.

What you are saying doesn't add up but it doesn't matter at this point. Good luck to Jaheem.

Don't worry about rooting for him, he has a ton of love and support and is going to be a star at the next level. His folks are wonderful people and have a great relationship with Pedon. I however love gloating as much as possible! Root for the Birds, they need all they can get.
He is not going to be a star at the next level. Period. He’s not that good. I think most posters here have been accommodating to what you’ve been saying, both posts that are still up and posts you were too much of a loser to not delete. Wright State winning one game against ISU, before Jaheem even plays there, proves nothing. It doesn’t make his decision better or worse. You’re trying so hard to validate something on an anonymous message board for a kid who hasn’t played a minute of college basketball. It’s behavior that if anyone who knew you in real life knew you were taking part in would advise you seek therapy. I’m hopeful Jaheem hasn’t seen this because I feel bad for the embarrassment this would cause.

He did something similar on one of the illini forums. Underwood was sleeping on Jaheem and his teammates, signed someone else that was clearly inferior, etc.

Aaron goes by Obama2008 on the Illini forums, his Instagram is the same as his username on here, definitely not uncle

I saw him play a few times in intercity tournament, I was expecting more after hearing about the weight loss and best shape ever

All I see are highlight videos of him catching the ball, taking one dribble and dunking

Every 6’10” kid can do that if they don’t have two left feet

Especially IF Big J never leaves the bench. Also, i hope he does know Wright State coaches could be reading this board. It would be a shame if they felt his Uncle couldn't act like an adult.

But can he shoot . . . and miss . . . the three?

I have had the opportunity to see Big J courtside. I have seen kids much smaller handle him.
But can he shoot . . . and miss . . . the three?
And play small against smaller guys.

Or NCHS coaches could be reading this board. ( 3 other D1’s on this team)
