I hope the rapid fire slate of games upcoming will help the 8 man rotation get back in game condition. Even though nobody can be taken lightly I'm certainly happy that 2 of these games are against the Aces.
Those are likely the 2 most important games of this next 5 game stretch. The other 3 games, @Mo State, vs. Drake, & @UNI, the hope is to be competitive and maybe get lucky because they play down to us or we get really hot from the outside. But the 2 games against the Aces are must haves.

I don't see the three games you referenced as needing luck to win. Based on what I've seen there is no reason why the Birds can't win any one of them, no moral victories. We already beat Missouri State, we played DU competitively at their place with half our 8 man rotation unavailable and two guys starting that barely even saw the court against bradley. UNI seems to be the toughest one but even they lost to bradley.

I think Dana will have his team more prepared tomorrow and it's in Springfield. Drake we shot 52% from 3, and they still won by 9. Devries will change things up and I'm not sure we will adjust or have a game plan they aren't ready for. Even with some of our key guys back, I think Devries figures it out, he is probably the best coach in the MVC. And UNI, Jacobson always seems to find a way to out coach Dan. With this game being @ UNI, Phyfe will get the home team calls and that means Chapman and Schmitt will likely be in foul trouble. Had it been the home game I would think we have a better chance because I think we play better at home. But this being the Away game, and the 5th game in 11 days, and I'm not saying it's a loss for sure, but I think we would need more a drake type shooing night, not a Valpo type shooting night on the road. I don't doubt we hang with them, but I'm going to guess ISU will not be favored in any of those 3 games, so it would be considered an upset if we did win. And that's why the 2 Aces games are extremely important, if we want to find a way to 9-9 and out of Thursday night.

The Drake game want for lack of offense. We were short handed and struggled defensively. That never game will be winnable for sure. As for UNI, unfortunately Phyfe is freaking with long term covid and can only go about 15 min per game. It's a shame. Right now they are playing with a pretty small lineup and one that I think Chatman will be able to exploit.

As far as Dana getting his team prepared, I am not sure. Dana has shown to be a great recruiter of talent. His game prep and in game adjustments are suspect.
