Interest lists . . .

@Bird Friend I appreciate the work you do tracking kids we're interested in. But didn't we used to have a thread for "interests" for each class? Until we offer, wouldn't it make more sense to put the guys we're showing interest in on one thread? Just a thought! Appreciate your work!
Adunk, I can understand what you're saying, but I think in the long run this is more optimal to keeping an eye on who we've actually offered. The new set up allows for the threads to BE the list. This way, if you want to comment on a kid, you don't have to scroll thru a list of names to see if you can find that particular kid. Before, you'd have a kid listed on page 2 of the list, but then have comments about him on pages 4, 5, and 8, for example . . . Now kids should be easier to find and all the comments are kept together.

Then when someone is offered, we can mark that kid's thread as "offered" and stick to the top of the sub-forum. If they commit to us, we re-mark the thread to show "committed". If they commit elsewhere, we mark the thread "committed/elsewhere" and unstick the thread.

That makes a ton of sense! I guess it may come down to how people use the site. If they go to the home page and click into a specific forum (mbb, recruiting, football, etc.) that is definitely feasible. Others may use the board by clicking on "whats new" (it was "active topics" on the old site) to make sure they are getting the most recent info/threads. That's what I do and it can be a little daunting when you have an entire page of 2022 prospects we have interest in.

Do we have any outstanding offers?

Its been really quiet. Verbal commits says there is one open offer (Mo Njie, 6'8 PF) and it was added on 7/18/19. He reclassified to 2021 over the summer. He's not currently followed by anyone on the Birds' staff.

Forgot about Gassaama. Doesn't look like any of the ISU coaches are following him either.
Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder if Belcher follow some players just to mess with us fans . . .

Barring any late defections, does the return of Reeves close the book on 2021 scholarships to offer?

The transfer portal is now at 1717. It seems to slow to a trickle and then make a jump again. Kofi Cockburn just put his name in the portal, while keeping his name in the draft. Draft analysts are saying he won’t be drafted.
