Has there been an announcement about whether or not there is going to be a specific section that most of the ISU fans will be in? I was looking to buy tickets and wanted to check to see first.

The Indianapolis Star has been running a preview of the all the State of Indiana DI basketball programs this week. Today's topic was the "top game on the schedule". For Ball State, they picked the Indy Classic game vs. the Birds. I'll include the link to this article altho I suspect you might not be able to get there.

Dec. 17 against Illinois State at Gainbridge Fieldhouse as part of the Indy Classic. The new downtown Indianapolis event will replace the Crossroads Classic, which featured games between Butler, Indiana, Notre Dame and Purdue for more than a decade. Now, it’s Ball State’s turn to get in on the fun. Illinois State embarrassed Ball State last season, leading by as many as 30 points in an eventual 85-64 defeat. Outside of a trip to the Bahamas, the rest of Ball State’s nonconference schedule includes games against the likes of Earlham, IU-South Bend, Duquesne and Chicago State. I’ll take a Missouri Valley team inside an NBA arena. It should be a good measuring stick game for Ball State. — Robby General

I've often wondered what the reaction would be when the fantasy of joining an elite conference intersected with the reality of having to pay elite conference price$$$. The early returns are starting to come in.🙄🙄
If I remember correctly, the last time Illinois State played at Illinois my ticket was $35 for a nosebleed seat. That was almost 20
years ago. Can’t imagine how much that nosebleed seat would cost this year. Or how much a lower bowl seat would cost.

Ahh, Illinois! Well, let me tell you. The lower bowl on the side for Wisconsin goes for a paltry $395. Sounds cheaper than $400, doesn't it? So if you're a cheapskate you may want to sit under the basket for a mere $195. If you have good eyeballs and don't get nosebleeds you can go upstairs and have the privilege of paying only $70 to $75. Nice they take care of the little guy. Source: Wisconsin

So what you’re saying is “$74 to watch Illinois State play a game, followed by Big Ten Purdue play a game in an NBA arena is not insane”?

Those seats are cheap all things considered. I now live in San Diego and this is a screen shot of a San Diego State home game this week vs BYU "From $173" that I'm considering going to.

And this is the Mountain West Conference! If you want to buy season tickets, it's a minimum $10,000 donation to then be able to buy up to 2 ticket and then you pay full retail for each game on top of that. Again, this is Mountain West Conference, not a Power 5 conference.

Although I'm hearing that San Diego State may very well be joining the Pac 12 after USC and UCLA go to the Big 10 (which is bad for college sports in my opinion).

Do the Aztecs still play at Jack Murphy Stadium? I moved from San Diego in 1988 so hopefully this isn’t to dumb of a question.

San Diego State plays in Viejas Arena, it was built in 1997. Pretty cool venue. You walk in at the top level concourse of the arena and all of the seats are below where you walk in at. All of the concessions stands are outside of the arena (San Diego year round weather). I've been to a few basketball games there, including when Illinois State came a few years ago as well as concerts.

Planning to go see Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle there in early December and possibly Adam Sandler the following night.

Here is a link to the venue

Purdue might be the best team in the country, so that’s turned into a pretty good deal.

Apples and oranges. Nobody should gave to pay over $10 to watch a 280RPI Illinois State play a very unsexy opponent, but you try and use that avoid moving the program forward. It doesn’t matter anyway, the current administration only cares about women’s sports.
