The Redbirds finish up the two game homestand as the Flames trek down I-55 to CEFCU Arena.

UIC is eleventh place in conference at 1-11 (9-14 overall) whereas ISU is tied for ninth place in conference at 4-8 (9-14 overall).

Chicago Circle are led in scoring by Jace Carter (16.1), rebounding by Toby Okani (7.1) and assists by Tre Anderson (3.5); Okani (12.2) and Anderson (11.8) also average double-digits. The 'birds are led in scoring by Seneca Knight (11.5), rebounding by Kendall Lewis (7.0) and assists by Darius Burford (2.2); Burford (11.4) and Lewis (10.4) also average in double-digits. Both teams generally go eleven deep on any given night.

According to NET Ranking, Illinois-Chicago (281) toughest opponent was Northwestern (40, loss), their best win was against Illinois State (252) and their worst loss was to Valparaiso (288); Illinois State (252) toughest opponent was Bradley (77, loss), their best win was against Southern Illinois (108) and their worst loss was to Valparaiso (288).

At this point in the season, there are more common opponents than not (although no common non-conference opposition); as far as weaknesses, the Redbirds are in assists, blocked shots, steals and turnovers.

UIC won the first match-up at Credit Union 1 Arena, 55-51, and have not won a game since.

We need a win that we dominate start to finish.

Our best Net win is now against SIU who is 108

Would like to see us dominate an opponent start to finish

Don't crap the bed, or ourselves. UIC is reeling - don't be the squad that gets them back in the W column and finishes the sweep.

Get it done. Win the game. The end.

I think the Birds win this one by 10. The foundation have been set into motion by the last two games. Sharing the ball and limiting turnovers hopefully continues.

It feels like we hit rock bottom in the Valpo game, but in the past 2 we have turned the corner bit by bit and it's starting to feel that we're going to be good to give anyone and everyone in the conference a battle on any given night provided they play the correct way.

There are only a couple of things that really worry me about this team, one is out of their control while the other isn't. First is the lack of roster depth in trying to go 4 games in 4 days while playing with the level of effort and hustle that is required for this team to succeed. The other worry is completely something within our control: Value the basketball.

Looking forward to tonight's game and hoping the positive trend continues with a solid W. Go You Redbirds!

I look at Valpo as more of a fluke than anything. Check the couple games on both sides of that one. Highly competitive.

I also think ISU gets a double-digit win tonight.

Not sure it's going to happen for Yak at UIC. Tough place to win, that's for sure.

UIC does three things well: draw fouls, blocks, steals. Pretty simple tonight - can we play a clean game without foul trouble and turnovers? If so, ISU by 8. If not, it will be a fight. UIC lost by 7 to Bradley, 4 to Missouri State, 6 to UNI, 5 in OT to Drake, and 6 to Belmont. They aren't going to let themselves get blown out tonight. We have three double-digit wins all year year. Going to have to grind this one out. 69-61 ISU.
