I watched the whole game. Very good game by the Birds. Just kept adding runs - 1 each in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and then the crooked numbers - with 4 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th. Good base running and timely hitting. On the other side - solid pitching and good defense. The only way the Illini scored was when a bouncing ground ball hit the first base bag and popped up over the first baseman's hit into short right field.
Love defeating the Big Whatever conference. Twice now this season. Evansville also beat Indiana yesterday.
