ISU's ad campaign during ihsa playoffs worked like a champ - we had more mentions than Illinois

We all knew that was going to happen.. Illinois took themselves out with Big Ten schedule.. and NIU is just god awful, the school sucks and Dekalb is an armpit. Once again ISU proves what were are!!

This is just fantastic !!!!

Nice job ISU Admin folks .. this will help the school, the campus, and all the sports programs .. certainly the football program more than the others, but all ships should rise some.

Just fantastic !!!

These parents should definitely fill a brewery on an otherwise dead holiday weekend with students gone. Many will eat calzones, too.

And ISU will end up on a lot of athletes’ and future college students’ radar and/or move up their list towards committing to attend here after a weekend spent wandering around Uptown Normal.

Huge win for all involved!

EdgyTim really showing the love for ISU in this video.
yes ihe did ... though he also liked the U of I alternating years concept.

Noted they shut off the comments ... it must have been sh-t show with U of I and/or NIU complaining ? I assume SIU had zero chance.

Maybe the extra revenue generated will help towards some donations from the city to finish the other side. Not saying it will fund the whole thing, but you know every penny helps.

Even if the deal they cut breaks even each year for ISU hosting, BloNo will make some money. And ISU still comes out ahead with all the favorable visitor and TV publicity ... and recruiting !!!

When I attended the Return to Horton game yesterday it reminded me of the importance of "right sizing" events. Bigger is not always better. Memorial stadium in Champaign was a big, mostly empty cavern. When you have fans sitting all around you and you hear the roar coming from the other side it changes the atmosphere of the game. A full to mostly full venue brings the electricity and excitement to a new level. Hancock Stadium is the right size for the state football championships.
