Play more man to man defense
I'm with you on this. When I watched the NCAA tourney, the one thing that stood out was all of the teams were really good at sharing the ball. I always feel like we are not good at this early in the season.I'd be in favor of the Norman Dale "passing rule" - gotta move the ball more, stop the one man show/dribble and shoot.

Kinda don’t know at this point. Didn’t have any players excel at it last year, and new players are still unknown to us. We’ve got a head coach who was a defensive standout, but we know he can’t teach it or get his players to buy in to it. We’ve got a defensive specialist on the staff now, but not sure he can teach it or get the players to buy in. We’ve got a player/skill development coach on staff now, but not sure D is a specialty of his.Do we have players who can defend the perimeter?
Dislike all you want you know were around a 10 win team again.
I have to believe we are in for more of the same. Lame game planning, slow defense, Glaring weakness at one position at least and no way to compensate for it. I was watching the thread on recruiting and saw excitement. That is expected I guess. However, recent history has taught me not to get too encouraged. I was hoping some one had some inside info on one or two of our new players. You know, immediate all valley, prolific scorer, Cat quick on D. I can hope I guess.Kinda don’t know at this point. 100%The answer for the OP is that, sadly, it is extremely unlikely that we’ll see much in the way of good basketball until there is a coaching change. Not that Dan couldn’t catch lightning in a bottle with a fresh start elsewhere, but he’s dug himself such a terribly large hole that It’s cringe worthy.
I have to agree. The answer for the OP is that, sadly, it is extremely unlikely that we’ll see much in the way of good basketball until there is a coaching change.
