I still believe that this team will be Sweet 16. Gawd...even I am laughing at myself for that belief.

What is the big issue? Why does a league leader...then get demolished at home?

I wanted to blame it on ESPN+ so I went and checked out the seven games that were only featured on ESPN+ and the REDBIRDS are 5-2 for these games. The two losses....both from Valpo Alpo. Since this research makes a little bit of sense....I will take it.

Lack of Leadership from a player....too many coaching penalties against the bad apple of the moment...a coach that can see the lack of purpose from the team during warm up...a reaction from the bench that I wished I had the chance to be sitting on the floor behind the chairs to hear the conversations during game time...the 3 Amigos of Seniors...

What is the problem with the seniors...? I hesitate to put anything in writing because there are some disturbing mental issues that started before this season and appear to be at such a horrid level that recovery will only be graduation. I have a love affair with Phil and Milik and Key. Each one is different. I look in awe at these guys separately and still wonder why I cannot enjoy looking at the 3 together and feel even better?

Do these 3 Amigos just have no social life together when the basketball is sitting at rest? Have they shared love with individuals to the point of hating each other due to social jealousy?

Cali-Fayne, NorthernIL-Milik, Floridian-Key? No common interest due to where they developed?

A legacy player in Milik...is the pressure just too great?

The only thing from the Valpo game that provided me some hope is the Fisher reaction. A player really wants to change things around....and May looks like a good time for it to happen. I just wonder what the roster will truly be like next year.

As has been said before, this team goes the way MY goes. They feed off his good energy or curl up in the fetal position from his bad energy. I feel bad for them, these are good, likeable guys... they just don't want it nearly enough. I like HCDM too, but eventually the lack of player development has to be accounted for.

So a good guy informed me that I made a mistake of labeling Milik a Southern IL man....when he was educated up north during HS. I thanked him. Corrected the post....and then discovered why I made the error...and at least it had a Redbird influence in confusing me.

We eke by Northern Iowa at Home. Bradley beats them on the road. We lose at Bradley. How the hell did we ever get beat by Bradley? Disappointing season by a disappointing team. I honestly thought we’d have a 24-25 win season with the returning players. Talk about a grandiose miscalculation.

Bradley also lost to UNI by 20 at home earlier this season... SIU got worked by Evansville last night, Evansville smacked Loyola at home. We got destroyed by Valpo who was barely shooting 30% from the 3 on the season and made 8-13 in the first half against us. It's a crazy season all around. Everyone has been very inconsistent. Everyone has lost games they shouldn't. We should take it to BU at Redbird in a week from Saturday but who knows?
