Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday and Illinois State is making a push to raise money.

You can go to https://givingtuesday.illinoisstate.edu/ and click "Make a Gift". You can even indicate what department or organization your donation goes to. For instance, I donated to the music department as that is very close to my heart at ISU.

Please consider donating to the school that has impacted all of our lives in major ways. Now is the time to put your money where your mouth is.

Up until 6PM, if 50 people donate between 11am & 6pm to athletics, a donor will donate $5,000. So far they have 33 of 50 people needed with 30 minutes remaining.

Athletics has raised over $7,780 so far today from 55 gifts. It would go to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund unless you specify differently.

911 donors and over $293,000 raised today for ISU!! Just under 6 1/2 hours left.

The Match is just on the main Giving Tuesday Website and they are ever changing throughout the day. I got an Email from ISU last night, an Email from Athletics this morning, the whole Giving Tuesday has been on my Twitter and Facebook feeds pretty visibly.

This is the second match Athletics is doing, the first had to do with Head Coaches donating money up to $1,000 or so for donations to WSF.

14 more donations needed with about 17 minutes left.

Well whadda ya know...an email glitch has been uncovered. My first email from Athletics came to address X at 4:26 pm today. The wife got it at address X at 7:52am this morning???? I don't do Twitter or Facebook. Sounds like I've got a problem but so does Athletics!!

Athletics raised $19,254.55, second highest of all the ISU departments.

Split it in thirds. 1/3 to Muller, 1/3 to Spack, 1/3 to buy shovels for the indoor facility. Hey, you gotta start somewhere!

The website is still up and active all day until Midnight if anyone missed out...even if it is a small donation of $20 it can go a long way.

Total Money is now $527,308 for ISU from 1,477 gifts.

Athletics is at $19,274.55 from 118 gifts. It would be great if people on this board could reach out to others or make a small donation themselves to get WSF over $20,000!

The less athletics has to pay towards the $3.5 Million in Scholarships for it's student athletes, the more money it keeps for projects/salaries/overall health of the Department.

That would be kind of cool if we could help build the facility by donating our time as construction dudes (or dudettes).
