Well, news to me -- I'm watching the Big 10+ Network, switching over from Elon-Indiana, to NU-UIC. And the studio host is Telly Hughes. Who I never heard of. And here I look up his bio and he's an ISU alum, who pitched for the Birds. He reported for both Fox Sports in Minneapolis and in Milwaukee. Goes to show you I don't pay much attention to the studio guys and pre-game guys. Anyone remember him?

Telly used to be on tv in Des Moines, that was the first time I had heard of him.

OMC: At some point, did you realize that your career wouldn't be playing baseball?

TH: Exactly. My sophomore year of college I had to actually make a decision because my grades were suffering. It was either baseball or a degree.
