The new AD has finally coughed up the cash for a Dan Muller/Redbird basketball accomplishment trophy case...

Maybe he’s not going to use the scholarships so we can put that money towards buying him out.

Robert Morris is a good engineering school, and this guy probably knows he won't make a living playing basketball. He's saving 48 K per year with that scholarship.

This is a joke...right?
That was his freshman year. Sadly he’s the best recruit we had on the board and got beat out by Robert Morris. How far have we fallen.

At least we have two guys that quit last year to play “forward” for us.

It’s interesting we brought in a prep coach to bring in questionable recruits. It seems we are going back to the lower character route for players hoping to have one incredible season. Which, I don’t care if we win, but we’ve seen how this works out and it’s a train wreck off the court and still not win.

Ok, so someone is watching.

What do you think of Mosely as a coach?
Finally got around to finishing. I really enjoy these series and felt heartbroken for these kids when they were told the tournament wasn't going to be played.

I think Mosely does a nice job coaching with faith and attempting to inspire his players. It didn't really seem to set in until the playoffs. In part because it seemed the team simply knew they were better than every other team they played, and they were. They had the mindset of turning it on when they wanted to throughout. I thought overall, Mosley did very little coaching and relied on his players being better athletes/hoopers. I watched the series over 3 months, so I may be forgetting something but I don't recall a situation where he drew up a play or anything in a game. I remember his team not being able to guard the inbound very well.

As far as Muller vs Mosely, you really can draw a lot of parallels. Both faith based coaches. Both harp on effort and playing with intensity. Both often take chances on dudes and hope to "fix" them. Many times they hope their team can "out athlete" other teams. Both have the proven inability to win the "big game." I believe Mosley had lost in the playoffs 3 or 4 years straight after being favored, and we all know Muller's track record.

If the ONLY option is to have Mosley or Muller, I'd go Mosley simply to have something fresh in the program. I do not believe results would be different though. I do think Mosley would be an excellent assistant and recruiter.

Good to see Dan is out trying to find that impact player we need by recruiting against......Southern U and a college in the Philippines.

We offered a D2 kid as well the other day. So much for being selective.
Well, I'm pretty underwhelmed by our recruits and targets so far -- BUT Minnesota just announced today a DII transfer, Duncan Robinson was a DIII transfer to Michigan a few years ago and is averaging double digits and 30 minutes per game in the NBA, Dusan started at Lewis and is getting looks from P5 schools. Just sayin'. There's a few waiting to be discovered out there.

“Underwhelmed” is an apt description. I too am underwhelmed, and embarrassed.

Surely the AD sees that we are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Pitiful.
