Michael Finke will leave Illinois and play his final season as a grad transfer elsewhere. I expect at least 1 more player to leave Champaign.

Finke is only good when his shot falls.
1) where is his scholly coming from?
2) look for him to join little brother at GCU.

Muller, jump on it. Finke on the floor with Fayne and Milik would be pretty sweet.

They don't need Finke. They need another big man. Maybe the graduate kid from Samford with 2 years left?

Report is that he's leaving to play with his little brother at Grand Canyon. Can't say that I blame him what a cool experience

I have an uncle that works at U of I and this was always the goal for the two brothers. When the older Finke committed, many Illini fans saw it as, "We're taking him so we can get the younger one." (Think like if it would have worked out with Charles and Chris Payton).

Once the younger Finke's recruitment chilled, it was obvious Underwood was not interested and he goes to GCU. I would be surprised if he doesn't go to GCU with his brother.

At some point he had an offer from Illinois though. Amongst many other schools.

That Illinois offer has been off the table for a long time. T Finke opened up last year's AAU season on fire and then bombed out the remainder of the Spring and Summer.

Supposively he was hurt last summer. Win win. Brothers get to play together and Illinois speeds up the rebuild.

Te'Jon having to sit a year to then play the next 2 makes a ton of sense for this team to pursue. They'll lose a lot from this roster after next season so having a point guard with a lot of game experience would help out greatly when replacing the minutes that Keyshawn will have played. I'm sure it won't happen, but it wouldn't hurt to kick the tires.

I'll happily keep Copeland and J-Jeff over Te'jon.
