My working hypothesis that the locals would have a major Dilemma on their hands if Illinois State went to a FBS conference. At this point and time they can rake their yard and do things and they don't care if they go to the football game, but if ISU joined the AAC or Conference USA, they would feel reluctantly inclined to have to go to football games because ISU would be playing some teams that would be in the top 50 in the country. Hence the Dilemma, except for doing things like but watching cornhole on TV,raking leafs, etc. They would have to feel like they need to go and watch football and have to participate as a fan . That would entail standing and cheering and yelling, not just sitting there being docile and very impassionate. Kind of like men's basketball games. In conclusion, Go you damn Redbirds and win this game.🏈🏈🏈

Illinois was not hit as hard as some other Big Ten teams during COVID, because their budget was not as dependent
on attendance ticket sales. Not based on a hypothes.
