My mom is friends with Rick Whitlow, and she showed me a post of his after this game in which he said that was very impressed with Washington and that we really got a good one.

Is the Whitlow kid who plays for Auburn fooball related to Rick? I know Rick was a sportscaster down there for a long time.

Washington is having a pretty good season since returning from an injury. For those who want to look at a potentially cryptic social media account, it looks like he has changed his background photo as well as profile picture that showed him in Birds gear. Also look like he took down his “committed,” post.

Emon has been nominated for the McDonalds All-American Games. There is are still no mentions of the Redbirds on his Twitter.

Thanks. I believe he formally had that Tweet pinned and in his bio had "Illinois State commit," or something to that effect. I could be mistaking that with others though. He also had a "committed" post that doesn't seem to be there.

He signed a National Letter of Intent so he would have to sit out a year if he switches to another NLI institution unless granted a release by ISU.

Kind of a dumb question to ask. He signed a NLI. He’d have to transfer and sit out or ISU would have to release and that’s probably not happening without a coaching change.

At this stage if he requested a release I'd assume ISU would grant it. Muller has never been one to block a kid from transferring or backing out and changing schools, especially since we have time to "replace".
