Some good things there. But, can he run an offense, get assists, and get steals. That's what this team is missing most

Muller compared him to PLee. That's high praise, and someone who did all of the things you mentioned.

I doubt that Coach’s Muller, Duhon, or Reese thought about that. You probably should check with them and make sure.

Elijah Clarance probably didn’t tell Dan Muller & Brian Reese that he was going to leave and go back home after his Freshman year.

Him staying would have helped this year's team how? He wasn't going to start.

Do you really need it explained to you on how he would be a better option off the bench than some of the guys we have on the bench?

He should have if he was here. He absolutely was going to the main PG. He really put this team in a bind.

Makes me wonder who we wouldn't have had he stayed? Hein probably would have been kept off scholarship after giving his to Fisher. But yes, EC was going to take some major steps and be a hell of a player. He has already been promoted to the A team (varsity equivalent) of the Freeport team and is seeing some minutes off the bench. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the states in at least a G-League capacity in the next few years and get some DAP like looks in the NBA.

That said, Welcome DJ! We look forward to you becoming the new PLEE. Just so you know, you do not HAVE to have dreads by your senior year, but it sure seemed to work for the Larry Bird Player of the Year.

He had an extremely bad freshman year.
-10.5 BPM
- .076 WS (yes, negative win share)

He had high usage though, so there are bound to be some good moments. Your starting PG can not be a high usage low efficiency player, or it drags everybody else down.

Yeah, playing through injuries does that . . .

I'm glad our fans include scouts for professional teams around the globe. Otherwise some team in Europe might have offered EC a professional contract and wasted all that money.

His advanced stats are not hurt by injury as much as they were hurt by the mental aspect of his play. They would look much better if he wasn't forcing it while struggling. For now you have assume he can be coached, but to think he would have gone from that bad of a season to top PG the next is naive.

He was a better PG than anyone else on the roster this second. And once he was healthy (as he showed for his national team) he was going to be better.

Let’s get back on track with DJ as the current recruit. Has anyone found any stats from games this season? I know they have played a couple.

Seems to be a balanced PG. 12.5 points, 4 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1 steal per game.
