I thought you had a feeling. Tough losing these guys to these big time programs.

Feelings are just that. No inside scoop on this one, just know he enjoyed his visit and could've fit in well. I still think we have some good things in the works.

I would hope that we are recruiting players above the level of Jacksonville State.

Why’s that?

They had quite a season this year. Swept Belmont and split with Murray. Wonder what their fans said when ISU was included as his final three.

People get really wrapped up in what other schools are recruiting a player. Doesn't mean squat. I'm sure a lot of these kids pick schools based on more than just basketball. Yeesh.

90 minutes from his hometown. 60 minutes from where he played juco, which was 75 minutes from home . . . I think he wanted to play near home.

Curious as to what these good things we have in the works? Not being sarcastic, I am legitimately wondering as it seems pretty bleak especially with the likely commitment of Reeves to SIU. I would love some good news, as I am getting increasingly worried about the future of our guard play the next few years.

“Doesn’t mean squat”...come on Quinn. I would be the first to admit that any individual recruit can be a bust or success regardless of the schools interested. But at the end of the day I would rather be a program that routinely and successfully competes with the high-majors/mid-majors for recruits than a program that routinely competes with the low- majors/mid-majors for recruits. There will always be one-offs but I am personally starting to get spooked by ISU’s recruiting trends. We have not bled out but holy sh#t are we in need of some plasma as respects to recruiting success.

I am wondering if Muller’s track record is starting to work against him? Players, and everyone around them that offers an opinion, often consider the chances of going to an ncaa tourney when evaluating scholarship options. The 20 year drought, of which Muller accounts for roughly 1/3, has to be an uphill battle as respects to recruiting and now Muller is as responsible as any other ISU coach for the hiatus. If it has not caught up to Muller it will soon.
