Well Creighton is ranked 10th in the nation, recruiting got better for them once they left the Missouri valley for a lot of reasons and it should be a wake up call for Illinois State

Illinois State hasn’t responded to any of the previous wake up calls, I don’t hold out much hope that they’ll do the right things now.Well Creighton is ranked 10th in the nation, recruiting got better for them once they left the Missouri valley for a lot of reasons and it should be a wake up call for Illinois State
So we should go private and religion based as a university.Well Creighton is ranked 10th in the nation, recruiting got better for them once they left the Missouri valley for a lot of reasons and it should be a wake up call for Illinois State
Yep, that's the ticket to success in the Valley. it worked for CU and LUC. Valpo is next. Beacons will bail for the ACC. We need to wake up.So we should go private and religion based as a university.
What denomination? I sort of like Flip Wilson’s Church of What’s Happening Now.So we should go private and religion based as a university.
Scientology, aliens will come and save us all or what ever crap they talk about and Tom Cruise will jump out of an airplane onto the tarp on top of RBA and repel from the ceiling to his courtside couch every game. What denomination? I sort of like Flip Wilson’s Church of What’s Happening Now.
Geraldine Approves! What denomination? I sort of like Flip Wilson’s Church of What’s Happening Now.
ISU about to be last man standing in what was once a great conference.some talk or possibly drivel, according to some alums who donate, that Drake is/has been looking to alternatives to the mvc. a10 is a wish but not so certain a10 wants drake.
But have made a lot more money than they would have in the a10? Mvc? Aac?Tulsa made it to the sweet sixteen in back to back years in the Missouri Valley in 1994 and 1995. They jumped conferences and have had 2 ncaa appearances with no tournament wins in the last 20 years.
The once dominant DePaul jumped to the major conference seen and have had 1 ncaa tournament win in the last 23 years.
There are a lot of things in the latter days of the Doug Elgin regime that could have been done differently. You can certainly make a case that the MVC would at least be at or above the current level of the A10. But none of that would have kept Butler, Creighton or Xavier from the Big East.Last commish didn't seize the Butler, Dayton, Xavier early 2000 midwest come ups. Would Butler and Xavier have left for the Big East if Creighton stayed? Wichita never would have never left
Butler
Creighton
Dayton
Southern Illinois
Bradley made the Sweet 16
Xavier
What ifs
I totally understand the money and the recognition by jumping to bigger conferences, but I was just pointing out from a winning point of view it's not that simple. My guess is Gonzaga will eventually jump to a bigger conference and their recruiting and winning will not be as good. But have made a lot more money than they would have in the a10? Mvc? Aac?
Like they say: hindsight is half-empty.Last commish didn't seize the Butler, Dayton, Xavier early 2000 midwest come ups. Would Butler and Xavier have left for the Big East if Creighton stayed? Wichita never would have never left

Totally disagree. Gonzaga is a national brand. If/when they end up in the Big 12, they’ll continue to be as successful as they are now.I totally understand the money and the recognition by jumping to bigger conferences, but I was just pointing out from a winning point of view it's not that simple.
