Always loved seeing Birds in the pros. Not a great debut for Miller. 0-5 with three strikeouts (all swinging) a ground out, and a flyout.

I wish I could strike out three times in the pros. I'm green with envy for him.

Hey he got his first hit yesterday - 1 for 4 with 2 Ks but hey he played a solid 3B for Indians too - versatile guy can play all infield positions and even LF from what I hear.

More on Owen Miller's chances with the Brewers, sounds like he may be in the mix:

Owen Miller forcing himself onto the opening day roster with his bat

The glove adds versatility and can help get Miller in the lineup, but Miller’s bat this spring may be what ultimately earns him a locker in the visiting clubhouse at Wrigley Field on opening day.

Miller entered camp as part of a crowded position player unit that had a large handful of players vying for limited spots. When the Brewers added Luke Voit and Tyler Naquin on non-roster deals in late February, it complicated things even further as they joined Miller, Abraham Toro, Keston Hiura and Brice Turang battling for effectively two spots.

All Miller has done since is hit. The 26-year-old was batting .444 with four doubles and a 1.141 OPS entering Saturday’s game against Kansas City.
