Ok time for us to bolt to the Big 12.

When the Big 12 folds and the MVC renames itself the Big 12 is the only way. Meanwhile NDSU says they are ready for a FBS invite.

I don't necessarily buy this, that they're ready or that anyone will come calling, but as I said earlier, this is all so bonkers I have no confidence in my ability to predict.

Could North Dakota State be the next target of FBS expansion?

I don't disagree with the decision to pay players at the big schools. I always hated the universities raking in millions of dollars off of the efforts of players. Always seemed to me the players should get something besides the "education" that was always used as justification. But no doubt the entire landscape of college football is going to change and I think it will change dramatically. This is now simply about money and how much the media and the big universities can rake in. Nothing more and nothing less. How this will impact the have nots we will have to see.

I thought the FBS is not NCAA sponsored and therefore the biggest pool is already gone. Am I wrong? Besides mens basketball I think the rest of the revenue is small for other NCAA sanctioned events.

Texas just can't make ends meet on their $220 million budget. If ND still remains Independent, Big Ten may need to upgrade NC schedule to include the west coast Washington, Oregon, USC, UCLA in order to increase tv revenue.
