I think we've completely lost what it means to "commit". I would not want to be any of the involved parties in this situation (player, "committed school", or recruiting school). Just messy all around. NIU should rescind his offer. I hope we never find ourselves in this situation. De-commits happen but this is another level of shopping around.

We just know what in the papers. LOL sometimes schools tell kids no you are #xyz on our board we love you . We lock in we are done recruiting at that position. Boom here comes timmy for Boom HS and beside portal ready college players so HS kids need to do there due diligence.

Its the sign of the times, Illinois did this to another kid Blayne Sisson of Mount Carmel. Kid was committed to SIU, he got a call from Pat Ryan days ago, went on a visit to Illinois, Illinois offers him and then he de-commits from SIU. I get it happens but man that stuff is slimy.
