Also, Gregg Marshall is a disgusting person and should not even be considered.

It doesn't have to be Marshall. I agree that I would have to hold my nose if I had to walk in Redbird Arena watching a Marshall coach team. But, If he changed the culture of losing with this program and did it with respect- I could live with that. Look at Rick Pitino at Iona...I'm sure they have no regrets.

LOL- I'm sure if he is winning there will be 6000 to replace you. People have a short attention span when they are winning. You may not have liked Lebron James in Miami- but when he plays on your team all is forgotten. I just want to win!

There is no reason we shouldn't make the tournament. I'm sure the Vermont coach could recruit better here than at Vermont. I could be wrong- but with I-74 and 55 running to the heart of basketball country...there is no reason we shouldn't be better than Vermont.

I agree, if he’s able to recruit the east coast and coach those guys up, no reason he couldn’t do it here as well. Granted it’s a smaller school and conference (where have we heard that one before?), but his record speaks for itself. We need someone who has a system in place that works. That’s why to me I don’t want go through the trial and errors of a first time head coach.

In 1996-98, Dan Muller continued a streak of starts from Day 1. No, I am not "his Mom" nor was Kevin Stallings his father. What progresses was an odd sequence. Two Tourney runs of my most memorable college student, reporter, and colleague moments. If we want to itemize the rest from me on the "outside": Rico | Tarise | KS | Coach Rich....Porter..............

When observing programs, There is more to the job.

For me personally, I'd want it to be a top 3 finish in the MVC or winning the tournament to make a difference. I think at a minimum for the administration, he'd have to be above .500 in conference (So 18 wins overall).

.500 in this (very average) conference gets a completely overwhelmed, horrible, coach another extension? God, I hope not.
