Chase is working hard and transforming his body a ton since his Soph year. Also, that battle of the Bigs was against a kid committed to play MAC football. Chase was not being outmuscled which says volumes. T

Chase will be a fan favorite. Mark my words.

That was a great article. There is really nothing not to like about this kid. Respectful, loyal, and committed. You don't drop 60lbs in 3 months without being committed to your goals. Sounds like he went the keto way. Good for him. It's a tough thing to start but pretty easy to maintain once you find your groove.

I know it might have set him back a bit as his finger got reinjured, but I love that he mixed it up with the guys when he was on campus last fall. He wanted to show them that he's just not some big body, he's got the skills to back it up. Also love that he wants to major in business...no better place to do it than the State Farm Hall of Business.

Though I do believe Offutt was the main recruiter of Chase, I think Pedon stays very closely connected to all of the top targets. I have to think Walker would be in the loop of the Offutt situation (Offutt not actively contacting him or engaging anywhere).

To be fair to Offut, I haven’t seen much contact or action going on from any of our staff with recruits or otherwise since the middle of Dec. Plus, we don’t see the DMs, so it’s possible there has been a lot of contact that’s not viewable to us . . . Or there could have been none.

I wasn't referring to public interaction. I imagine with Offutt as all the social stuff abruptly stopped, so did his communications with recruits.

That’s my point, ALL of the coaches seemed to have stopped public social in December, so I don’t think it’s fair to just call out Offut unless you have other sources to confirm he has cut off all contact.

Dak has remain engaged, Pedon puts stuff out there from time to time and Hicks remains active as well.

Since signing day, Dak has retweeted one thing about our recruits. Since the Horton game he’s tweeted 6 times about the team, one of those being about signing Ty Andracke (which was a cool thing). Not exactly lighting it up. Hicks is the only staff member tweeting about our recruits. Nothing from Judson or Mastroianni or Betz.

None of them has posted on Instagram on their pages. So . . . again, Offut’s lack of public social media engagement is very little different than the other staff, from what I can tell.

Now I must apologize. In digging thru Offut’s Twitter follows, it appears he has followed several players since I (or anyone else) last added any new follows. Some seem pretty recent. Update: was looking at Hicks’ followers. So Offut hasn’t followed anyone.

Dakich is very active liking tweets. He and Pedon slowed way down on actual tweeting due to trolls.
