U-Indy has a nice bubble. Bought and paid for by the NY Giants for the Super Bowl. It has restrooms, offices, a weight room and locker room facilities that are attached by an airlock. Something along those lines could easily be added to our bubble later. I'm hoping at least restrooms are part of a longer-term goal. If you want to rent the joint out you kinda need that.

I feel the bubble, even though we wanted more of a traditional building, will absolutely help recruiting. While a big traditional building like NIU would be a 100/100, a bubble is still 80/100 and both are much better than our current nothing.

As I continue to watch the construction I believe I'm getting a better understanding of the wall on the west side. If you stand in the north parking lot it is about an 8 foot drop down to what was the practice field surface. Heading west there is another deeper drop off (approx 12 feet) down to where the track is located. Any soil erosion could leave the IPF non-level and unstable. The west wall may contribute to the foundation, but I think the wall is as substantial as it is to provide lateral support. They want the IPF to remain in the same place for many years to come.

The IPF is progressing but unless you like dirt that has been turned there isn't much to look at right now. It will get finished. We can circle back to this story in the spring. I think we'll have more information about how this transpired at that time.
Can we call it Spring at this point, or do we have to wait longer? LOL

I should have stuck to my original statement. This is all coming out in the spring.
Well the WGLT article said it all without saying anything. Rossi pledged $3M but may not be able to pay anything due to his legal woes.

Other donor group is still committed to making payments.

ISU had a contingency plan to borrow the $11.5M just in case. So presumably ISU is paying for this, and then hopefully getting reimbursed on the backend as donations come in.

Or did I read the article wrong?
