Also, this is supposed to be a "discussion" board, right? With some people, the "geniuses" let's call them, there is no discussion - they are right, absolute, and there's no "discussing" it. It's not their opinion, it's fact, and the rest of us are just too damn stupid to see it. They don't even see that no one is really defending Coach Dan on here, just wanting to get on with the season and hoping against hope for a better ending. They need to make us all out to be kool-aid drinkers cause it's the only way their crap works.
Gonna be a long season if we keep feeding the trolls, folks.

10th season - 10th season and what do we have to show for state of program? Our best players would not even be starters for SLU or Buffalo - not one

I think our five starters are solid. I think their defense is poor, and the NBA offense (1 on 1) they run isn't great. A new style is needed to get the most out of their ability.

I have total empathy for everyone who expresses embarrassment of the ISU mens basketball program. There’s no reason for it; other than it was easier for the former AD to extend Mueller’s contract than to replace him. Replacing a head coach takes work; something career bureaucrats don’t like. Mueller has to go. That said, this team has some potential. If properly coached I think these guys could be competitive. They just don’t seem to have a direction.

Just the opinion of a lunkhead football coach. This is not a team totally bereft of talent. But...They don't match up well against a lot of teams. They have no size. No presence. They need Schmitt-McChesney-Andrews-whoever to get better. They're not going to get better by sitting around watching. So if you're getting the crap knocked out of you anyway, you might as well get the crap knocked out of you with your length getting better. It may serve you well down the road.

I doubt the Bears are dumb enough to wait 7-10 years.
Of these three, McChesney is the one I'd love to see in tonight's starting lineup. If the kid could just hit a few buckets and I love his energy
