Curious what everyone else thinks, but it might be to the MVC’s benefit at this juncture to bring it back. Maybe be a little more selective on the conferences involved....or not.
Although I liked the bracketbusters, it tended to (unfortunately) canabalize the mid-majors against themselves.
Let's say Ball State has RPI of 31 and Illinois State has RPI of 32. Only the road team would get a quadrant one opportunity, the home would be limited to quadrant two. Would you rather be the guest and have the chance for a higher valued W or be the host and have a better chance at obtaining that W?
Also keep in mind that the committee would value a 61 Illinois versus 62 Indiana matchup for 8th place in the B10 much more (sadly, it would probably carry more bubble ramifications)..
