Here is the 1995 ISU vs Creighton game at RBA. This was Dana Altman's first year at Creighton and they were not that good. Spolier alert ... the birds dominated them. The SIU game was better game to watch if you have to choose one. The comeback win against Drake in the semifinals of the MVC Tournament was entertaining as well. The Indiana St quartet final is on the same Youtube video but you can fast-forward through it.

Searching for the NIT game with Washington St although there was a small chorus of Coop at the end of this game when he made a 3.

THIS...is the echo I hear every time I walk through the doors of Redbird. More atmosphere than what you felt at Horton on Saturday. Sitting baseline front row was the time of my life. Great view...dug me a few cheerleaders, too! Even discovered that male cheerleaders were COOL!

Here's another NCAA game. ISU vs OHIO

Love it! Something I’d love to see is a Horton game of either the ‘82-‘83 season or the ‘83-‘84 season. I know that place was electric every single game and they’d pack so many in the place. I grew up in the RA era so the old 80s teams are fascinating for me to watch.

Ok it's been a long time but we just posted our latest podcast. Our guest is Asst Coach Terry Smith who was on Coach Donewald's staff from 1978 to 1985. Yep he coached on three consecutive NCAA teams and then moved on ... he will tell you why. He also helped recruit players from the 1990 NCAA team although he never coached them. Fun fact, Coach Smith's grandson is Jayden Johnson so he still has ties to the current team. Hope you enjoy and as always we appreciate you supporting us and more importantly the guests.

any chance on the following:
1982-3: MVC vs Tulsa
1983-4: NCAA vs DePaul
1984-5: NCAA vs Southern Cal, Oklahoma
1985-6: Iowa State (Jeff Hornacek scored a 3-point play with 10 seconds...)

The Cyclones heartbreaker seemed to commence the end of the Bob Donewald-era Redbirds glory days

of course, any MVC/NCAA from 1996-7 and 1997-8 would be gold (I am partial to the Kevin Stallings glare/stare at John Higgins during the Northern Iowa semifinal (ended up with first row tickets behind Panthers bench, last game attended with my Dad))

Was at the game in Lincoln, seem to remember visiting a place called the Green Frog the night before. Great time to be a Redbird. The game I mean..

Edit: Good, memory not so bad after all.

We just posted our latest podcast and Baker's cohost and co-founder of the March to the Arch podcast, Vance Sawyer, joins us. Vance and Baker do a great job looking at the MVC comprehensively and have great guests. Make sure you check out their podcasts ... they tend to post on Fridays.

Vance talls to us about how he had the misfortune of attending SIU, some favorite moments since starting their podcast, and in the last segment I pose to him a mock MVC tournament with the current top 8 teams.

Hope you enjoy.

Teaser for next week's guest .... former ISU player has a child that currently plays in the MVC
