Reports are that these conferences won't play. If most of their members don't play, there can't be playoffs.

I'm guessing we call it off too, especially as ISU has moved to primarily online learning.

Have a MVFC schedule, with the top two teams playing a championship game... Noncon games still on, are ok to play....

Yup! I mean, realistically, 4 or 5 of the top 10 teams competing for a National Title play in the MVFC anyway, right? 😂
We should have had a 6th team in playoffs that year, YSU. They were sitting 7-2 on Nov 1st, with an 11 pt FBS loss to Illini (6-6 bowl team), so rwally 7-1 in FCS. But finshed 7-5 losing at #2 ISUr, then ISUb by 3 (made round of 16), and then at # NDSU. So they were 7-4 in FCS games playing iin the best conference in FCS in a long time .. but that wasn't good enough for playoff bid because they had to play 3 straight playoff calilber teams including #1 and #2?

But it wasn't just our dominance from our best teams that made playoffs when we went 10-4 overall but 7-1 when you remove 3 inter-MVFC games where we went 3-3. So including playoffs, MVFC went like 29-2 against the FCS .. 22-1 reg season, 7-1 playoffs. Even our 2 worst teams were winning games against pretty good competition. The lone playoff loss was ISUb at TN Chatt, who finsihed 9-4 (2 FBS losses) and made quarters losing at #1 UNH by 5.

Our 10th place team USD went 2-10, 0-8 in conference, but beat Big Skys Northern Ariz (7-5, 5-3) who was top 20 or 25 most of the year. Then lost at #3 Montana (9-5, 6-2) by 8 on road .. Montana made round of 16 and was ranked #13 at end of season. This loss was MVFC's only nonconference loss in FCS games all season .. our last place 0-8 to Big Sky's 2nd place 6-2 team by 8 on the road.

Our 9th place team MoST went 4-8, 1-7 in conference .. they beat UCA (6-6, 5-3) by 2 on road and 5-7 UND (38-0) at home.

That was a heck of a year MVFC had in 2014 .. 29-2 against all of FCS. Sorry for tangent .... eh, not really.
