Third game in just over one-hundred hours.

If we were rested I think it could at least be competitive: Carbondale 69, Normal 64

However, the Dawgs are on a three-game winning streak (and need only one win to avoid the Thursday night soiree and hootenanny in the 'Lou) whereas we have lost nine of our lost ten; in other words, this has all of the makings of getting ugly very fast (like 80-53 ugly)

Definition of insanity would be watching this game and I’ll most likely watch it. Sort of like the sickening crowd drawn to the spectacle of someone jumping off a high story building.

Why would you even say this? I’m not sure I expect us to win another game this year (there are 2 winnable plus Thursday night left. I’m not watching for wins right now. I’m watching because I love ISU basketball and want to support these student athletes. If they win then great. If not then brighter days are still coming.

I did not say I wasn’t for a birds win. I did not say I would not hope for a victory this game or future ones. I did not say I would not support all athletes who represent our alma mater. You and your cohorts are trying to read too much into my post. Geez….

SIU has hit some uncontested NBA 3s. Nearly 73% in the first half from 3. They have 10, Birds have 1. Jones needs to go ahead and wave the white flag on this game. Play guys who aren’t redshirted on the bench, rest the starters and hopefully get them reading to win a game Saturday and get some momentum headed into STL.

The Birds just look disinterested and disheartened by a couple of the late in the shot clock threes they’re getting.

Still rooting for the guys to win a couple more games this season but very excited for a breath of fresh air next season.
