Yes isu doesn’t need to be concentrating on recruiting the HOI conf. Aim higher
With players transferring like crazy, local/regional recruiting may prove to be the new market inefficiency in college basketball.

Not saying players will stay four years consistently, but they might stick around a year longer before transferring if they’re comfortable and their friends and family can see them play regularly.

For a coach trying to establish a culture and style of play, keeping your players around and not having to start from scratch every year probably matters even more.

Ups and mostly downs.......Sissoko has been a fine addition to our team. He played with energy the entire game.
Luke sure gave us a spark in that stretch drive to get close. And when we get in desperation mode I'm always quick
to want to give the ball to Burford and simply let him GO.
Honestly, not many other things I can comment on that aren't just rude. Heck, we had how many Air Ball 3's? Missing
free throws and bunnies and just looking like teams of past years.
Pedon is spot on with not bringing a Competitive Spirit to First Half - who in the heck is our floor leader beside the guy
who sat out with a calf injury?

It begins with the man in charge. You are (finally) an HC. These slow starts are unacceptable. It has nothing to do with the talent on the roster. It's just bad basketball. An alumnus a few seats over, while his squad ain't great, at least puts on the floor some desire.

Well that sucked. Didn't expect us to come out so flat, but we did. Much better second half, but that's a game we should have won.

Noah Funk is a Sophomore with good size and plays very well for his age. We absolutely should be in contact and keeping tabs on him. May not materialize, but you’d be screaming if this kid develops into the next Alec Peters or something and we didn’t even make an effort.
No I wouldn’t. HOI is for Eureka college

Was wondering when Birgs would show up. Lol.

Where was that “desire” when his team’s 17 point lead dwindled to two?

Or was that just “bad basketball”?

Get the **** outta here with your agenda.

There is this weird fallacy out there that good players only come from big conferences. That's not even remotely true. Good players can come from anywhere, and if we think that a good player might come from the HOI then we should follow and recruit him. I'll say it again, I don't care where the players come from I just want to win.

My other thoughts:

- We look, more or less, chaotic offensively. Same thing as other games when we score it almost looks accidental. I'm assuming Pedon is doing what most rookie head coaches do, and is trying to figure out what type of system he wants to run. I hope he finds it out before next year.

- I think we spend too much time playing the other team's game and not enough time playing our own. I think we will start winning when we stop letting other teams dictate our game.

- We need to shoot more FTs. For a team that shoots normally 80% from the line, that should be our bread and butter. If we want to win, 11 FTs is not going to cut it

- If we play like this, I'd guess we'll finish 10th or so in the Valley.

It’s hard to watch a team play so selfish honestly. Someone has to speak up about it. A player or coach which one doesn’t matter. Most of our turnover come from attacking the basket with head down and forcing shots. Something has to give.
