He does, but instead of scholarships he just makes them all 'preferred' walk ons and never plays themSturts is a shorter version of player Dan Muller. Hard nosed, high BBIQ, right place right time, good defense.
Too bad coach Dan would never try to recruit someone like him.
Defense was sloppy in the 2nd half. Can’t give up the layups they did in the end and win a game.Too sloppy down the stretch. Sucks. We could've won this
Fleming practiced on Saturday and about 20 min in, he sprained his ankle. Muller says they chose to keep some guys back since it was a flight and didn't want to risk any additional potential exposure. They'll be healthier on Sunday against Bradley but Muller doesn't really know what that means yet. The most ideal scenerio would be the return of Howard, Liam and Ryan.
This game could be helpful down the road. Sissoko and Washington played valuable minutes. Abdou is a shot blocker and it was refreshing to see him spark the team to start the game. In a half court man defense, he struggles. They would be better off playing the zone when he's out there.
Like when Skip & Jamar were out and Hansell & Cartmill had to basically play the whole 40 minutes against All-American’s Mike Bibby & Miles Simons. Tied @ 33 early in the 2nd half. But then, we’ll you know (as Paul Harvey would say) “the rest of the story”One thing about last night that I don't think was mentioned... Reeves and Strong were the only scholarship guards available. I guess you could say Washington, who played some 2 when Strong was out but Emon is a wing.
Twenty-one minutes of must-watch TV, followed by nineteen minutes of "MY EYES".Like when Skip & Jamar were out and Hansell & Cartmill had to basically play the whole 40 minutes against All-American’s Mike Bibby & Miles Simons.
