And Mueller was #2 in voting for Freshman of the Year.

Not sure how Bohlken didn't get first team.
I was surprised as well, but I guess there were other punters with better averages.

PUNTING (Minimum 0 Punts/Game, Games Played Pct. 0%)
# Player G No. Yds Lg I20 50+ TB Avg.
1 Takerian, Jack - ISU 1 1 56 56 1 1 0 56.00
2 Burkett, Grant - MSU 12 51 2358 62 15 16 1 46.24
3 Dinkel, Ben - SDSU 5 9 401 63 3 1 0 44.56
4 Schutt, Brady - SD 12 58 2562 67 27 11 3 44.17
5 Bohlken, JT - ISU 11 67 2958 64 20 23 4 44.15
6 Colquhoun, Jack - SIU 12 48 2060 68 21 14 1 42.92
7 DeSalvo, Nick - YSU 10 20 857 57 6 4 1 42.85
8 Lynch, Paddy - YSU 10 32 1323 55 3 4 3 41.34
9 Dustman, Hunter - SDSU 10 23 941 52 8 4 1 40.91
10 Fellner, Adam - WIU 11 64 2588 70 17 9 1 40.44

I underlined 1st and 2nd team punters (list is sorted by average punt). According to MVFC stats (which does not include a minimum number of attempts for averages), Bohlken was tied for 1st in Field Goal and PAT kicking % ;). He also had the 2 games with the most total punting yards (not necessarily a good thing. Lastly and most importantly, Bohlken was 3rd in the conference in average yards per rush!

Altho the one average ahead of him is just inches more and not worth haggling over. The one stat that stood out to me was his 50+ yards kicks - 23! A third of his kicks 50+ yards. Wow. Scraping for bright spots this year, but Bohlken sure was one.

Yes that is a very impressive number. Surprisingly, Schutt had 7 more downed inside the 20 in 9 less attempts. I wonder if Bohlken's average is low relative to his number of 50+ yard punts due to some blocked or partially blocked punts?
