It won't come to fruition because the Big Conferences don't get shafted. They build their resumes by playing each other in conference. You know, improving their stock because they beat a team that is in 8th place in the B1G

This would be a fantastic idea. I would also like to see the MVC improve the stock of the better teams by scheduling differently.

Ban non-D1 games during the regular season
Split into two divisions
Play each team in your division (10 games)
Play each team in the other division once (6 games)
The last two games (18 conference games) would have the top 3 teams play each other. The other 9 would just go on down the line scheduling two meaningless games between each other also based on standings.

This would guarantee another late-February resume building opportunity.
