That was quite a game by McIntosh. I felt he played like a real stud
in that game and made all the plays down the stretch. I don't always
have fond memories of MM but that was a great effort on his part.

I believe he hurt his knee shortly thereafter and struggled getting his game back
when he returned. He fought through the injury and gave it his best.

I think that was a heck of a team. I would put them in one of our top 5 teams since I have been watching for the last 40ish years. That team had leaders. It is a team that would have gotten an at large NCAA bid before the P5 started really rigging the process after 2006 season.

That season they were 18-14 and lost in the quarterfinals. I think you were thinking of the following year when we knocked off the shockers at home and won the mvc regular season title.

This was the 2016 team and not 2017. They started season slow and then had a stretch in MVC regular season where they really put it together. They loss the opening round of MVC against the trees in a dreadful shooting display. They loss DAP to graduation and Baynard transferred but that stretch really showed the 2017 team how to win ... in my mind at least.
