Power goes out all of the time and domes don't collapse. They have generators AND backup generators. If you search the Googles machine hard enough you can always find an anomaly. But, if they were unsafe or collapsing all over the place, schools, park districts and golf courses all over the world wouldn't be dumping millions of dollars into them.

You'd almost think people were just looking for something about the athletic department to gripe about! ;)

Loyola of Maryland has a bubble and they love it and I sold them the generator set! They also had a huge donation to get it done.
GO BUBBLES. GO BACK UP GENERATORS!!

You'd almost think people were just looking the other way as ISU athletics continues to half-ass it!

.I thought this was a "good news" story when I read it!

There is a Catholic High School here in Virginia Beach that has a bubble over the football practice field. Yes...a HIGH SCHOOL had an indoor practice facility for their football team and it was not in Texas! To help defray costs they would rent it out to my son's soccer club in the winter. It was great. Spacious with a good turf field. The players could get in out of the rain, cold, snow, and muddy field and have a good practice. Would it be great to have a real building? Of course, a real building would be great but the bubble was a good option. I don't think it is a bad look for ISU. I think having the Redbird players practicing in the snow and freezing temps getting ready for a playoff game while a High School in SE Virginia has an indoor bubble facility for their football team makes the University look half-assed.

Yep, a good news story! Good for the Athletic Department, and thanks to the donors!

Next year at this time the QBs and the receivers will be able to work on their timing together easily, every day.

This bubble is by the way a gift. People coughed up millions of real dollars to pay for it. No one is being cheap here. So unless you're coughing up your cash........Money talks bullshit walks!
I was waiting for someone to trot out this tired old line of bull shit. Nobody is dissing the donors of this project, hell, I'm one of them. I was excited to finally have some people in the athletic dept that knew how and were actually interested in, fundraising, but honestly, this half-hearted approach with the IPF has certainly affected my level of excitement as it has with others.
