This is very favorable. Only have to play Drake once AWAY which is going to be a loss regardless where it was and have a tough opponent at home (MO State) only once that Birds should be able to handle like last season. Like being exposed to 2 of the newcomers early as well!

Kinda sucks that the only Saturday home games are on New Years Eve (UNI) and January 21 (Valpo). We have 3 consecutive road games on Saturdays in February. This will negatively impact attendance.

In the "Good ol' Days" the Peoria game would be on a Wednesday and the ISU homer two weekends later.
I thoughts Murray/Belmont and Southern/Mo State were "travel partners" so I am confused by the early home/aways on those ones.
Playing Drake only once? Um, guess that's my lottery ticket.
That 1/21-1/29 from a teacher standpoint is REAL nice to get the young men graded up for the rest of the year.

We have 3 Sunday homes games. I would think we would have some say on the Sat/Sun stuff. 1/29 are the NFC/AFC conference championship games. In what world does that make sense? If you want to help attendance why put yourself up against that?

Completely agree and beyond competing with the NFL, Saturdays are better travel days for people that live out of town. It's not good getting home late on a Sunday with work/business/school the next morning. Makes no sense to have Sunday games instead of Saturday unless it's going to be on the flagship ESPN or another national network.

The AD is involved with scheduling but ultimately a conference schedule is done by the conference. The AD would be involved with Redbird availability but for a school like ISU with their own arena that would be minimal. The conference assigns officials. I suppose Sat/Sun games could in part be a result of officials' availability. Good officials don't grow on trees. TV also would be a part of the equation. For me personally, Saturdays are my only shot at going to Redbird. Oh well.
