Honest question. Do we think the Pantagraph has editors? They’ve cut so much I have to think the “lifers” have autonomy to cover what they want to cover. No offense to those golfers but that coverage doesn’t make any sense. Maybe it’s a way for Benson to ensure he stays on the Payroll over the summer?

I’m here in VA looking for any coverage of Redbirds Basketball, and I tell you even online it’s slim pickings. I agree it’s kinda bad.

ESPN+ or ESPN 3 will cover a majority of in conference games, with a smattering on CBS sports or ESPNU. Once we get closer to the season, the goredbirds site, should have where each game is televised, and this board usually does a pretty good job of announcing it as well.

I remember in the past, either a coach, AD, or MVC admin mentioning they do Sunday MVC games bc there are so many major conference games on Saturday’s, the quality if available officials is really poor. Just an FYI

This is interesting.

Coverage of the 2023 portion of the schedule begins on Sunday, Jan. 1, as ESPN and the Conference will utilize a Wildcard Selection process for the first of nine times to determine the remaining linear telecasts on ESPN Networks.

As part of the Wildcard Selection process, ESPN, working in conjunction with league staff, will announce its telecast selection 14 days from competition. The remaining Wildcard Selection dates are Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 29 and Feb. 4, 11, 19 and 26.
