I give up. Illinois State University will always be a second tier university with no growth aspirations, with a third tier fan base. They might as well just quit building that inflatable bubble and use that money to improve the locker rooms Horton field house and, just get rid of Redbird arena there's no need for that anymore either. Just just move to division II where we belong like 1967. Besides, the Paragraph would much rather cover with University of Illinois,IWU or Bradley or anybody else but ISU LOL.
You guys have been right and I've been wrong there's no need to go to games we're a .500 club, there's no need for improvement and it's a pipe dream to move up, It is also inconvenient for fans to go to games when it's cold or rainy or raking leaves and they don't play anybody important anyway.
As well next year's football schedule we're playing a division II school, a University that doesn't offer scholarships (pioneer League) and a couple of low level Missouri valley teams one which is moving to the OVC. (WIU)
So there is no reason to attend, I agree. Going to Illinois State games is a waste of time and a social club anyway for season ticket owners. All good in the small minded neighborhood. The best teams are in past and keep Coach Spack till he wakes up to what all of you really want. Just a convenient and irrelevant program is what most fans here feel comfortable with. Change is way to hard and so is the truth.
