A. I didn’t call
B. I don’t know the tone of the voicemail since I don’t hack into the phones at ISU.
C. There is a big difference between respect and courtesy than sucking up to someone.
D. I don’t see why an AD wouldn’t want to hear from fans they are losing at a record pace.
Regarding #4- You will need money from somewhere...it doesn't grow on trees. We aren't setting the nets on fire, so it isn't coming from the big dance. It sounds like we have a money pit...since we have about 3500 donors compared to the old days of 6500. It would be nice to hear...I'm working on it...give me some time...here is my plan. Sure, you don't need to tell anyone anything. But, without establishing a winning tradition...the AD might want to start "sucking up".

Point C . . . isn't that what I said?

Point D . . . Look to Point C.

It isn't hard.

To put a spin on those who say board members shouldn't blindly support Dan . . . Don't blindly support the critics.

The only facts I know are that people on the board called and left voicemails for the new AD. He hasn’t returned their calls.

I don’t blindly support anyone. Birdfriend72, Cali, Jamar, Trey and others disagree on plenty of things. We don’t always air it out on the board publicly, but have discussed it privately.

I don’t blindly support anything. I look around and see how far we are falling behind in Football and men’s basketball and hope someone can come in and save it. I think a good start would be engaging with the people that had the vision to see this coming from a mile away.

Sorry for interrupting but...
Valpo's Steven Helm is headed to Indiana Institute of Technology
INST's Cooper Neese will be returning as is Kailex Stephens and Cam Bacote is headed to WCU.

I could be wrong. I'm sure winning and losing had more to do with Dj leaving than anything you or I said. I could be wrong.
agree 100% but my comment had nothing to do with why DJ left. Just his parents mentioning that our forum would discourage future recruits from coming here.

We will let this go this time but please try to stay on topic in the future.

Playing on Thursday and what former players say about the program is far more detrimental than anything we can say here.

I have disagreed with Rico on occasions. I have never seen Birdfriend, Hulka, and Timmy disagree with each other. If I didn't know any different...I would think they are the same person. I have met Hulka...and even though we disagree on some things...he is a pretty cool person.

The thing I keep thinking about with the transfer portal stuff is.....if everyone is just using each other for their own benefit.....and no one has any equity in anything except for themselves.....then why should I care? Why pay attention? Why go to games or even come onto this board?

The excitement over a player joining the program is totally gone. I have no confidence these players will be here in 12 months. They don't feel any sense of loyalty to the program, the university or to its fans. So why should I have any sense of loyalty to the program either?

Why have commitment to something when the program's participants don't commit to it either? Why fall in love with a player when that player is just passing through?

The ISU basketball program has no identity. It has no continuity. It's basically a junior-college program hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. It's a cut-throat game of eating the level just below you to compete or even just to survive.

It's not a brand. It's an empty-stadium-in-waiting.

I read an article on arizona states incoming players and it stated Horne wanted to play there because he had a chance to make the ncaa tournament. For DJ, it seems winning is more important that being the best player on a 10th place mvc team

The PAC won't get 8 teams in the tournament.

The Buffs have 247's #8 recruiting class, though.

What does it say about your program when your best player leaves because he thinks he has no shot making the NCAA Tournament? To me that means your program has no leadership at all.

ASU was 11-14 last year. Surely, there was another school that offered him a better chance at “winning” than ASU does. Oh, and Hurley lost more players to the portal than Muller.

Facts suck!
