When said "Blue Bloods" in the post, I was originally referring to the actual blue bloods. Kentucky, Duke, UNC, Kansas.

We've certainly had a number of transfers go to Power 5 D1 programs. Minnesota and Illannoy certainly aren't in that blue blood category.

That's what I thought you meant. Still probably not a huge list if you include "plain old power 5", but can probably come up with a few more.

There was Ryan Turner (wasn't that it?) from EU to Northwestern. McIntosh to Oregon. Hawkins to BC.

Portal up to 1264 D1 players. Adunk's updated prediction looking pretty strong.

"Reverse" MVC transfer, from Wisconsin.

Good kid, has played thru injuries in his career. As stats show, he was not a huge part of the Badgers O, but was part of the rotation and provided I guess what you'd call "steady" point play at the Big 10+ level. Not sure he could make a big impact at Valpo, but he could possibly be a starter and surely could play the same kind of role he played at UW.

Trevor Anderson announced that he’ll play next season at Valparaiso.
“Thank you Wisconsin for everything,” Anderson said on his Instagram account. “Excited for one last ride before I put the ball down for good.”
Anderson averaged 2.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 68 career games for the Badgers after spending his freshman season at UW-Green Bay.
He appeared in 29 games in 2020-21, averaging 3.1 points, 1.2 rebounds and 14.2 minutes.

According to an MVC spokesperson, current league rules say Clay is allowed to transfer within the conference but Valparaiso would be allowed to block the player from being able to play immediately. It remains unclear if Valpo will block Clay.

The Valley could change those rules with the possibility of upcoming NCAA rule changes. Multiple reports indicate that the NCAA is close to allowing one-time immediate transfers for all athletes.

Updated to add Coop to Samford and Clay to Mo State. Gotta say, the inter conference transfer of Clay surprised me. A lot of times with these transfers they are looking for more PT or to play at a bigger school. With this decision, Clay is essentially saying, I know my talent is MVC level, but Valpo sucks. This could/probably should spark a little rivalry in the league. Something of note... Dana has been involved in the two of the most recent inter conference transfers... Hawkins, and Clay.

Good info.
Blocking a player seems so petty though.
