Valpo has brought in 3 Big 10 transfers. 2 out of Wisconsin and one out of Michigan State.
Trevor Anderson from Wisconsin I knew about, who is the second?

Anderson, as I said on this or another thread, is not star caliber, nice hard-nosed kid, but has had a couple knee surgeries and maybe played 10 minutes per game this past year? He'll contribute at Valpo, for sure, but I don't see him as a game changer. The kid from MSU, now he could be a player in the MVC.

They've brought in Trevor Anderson and Joe Hedstrom from Wiscy and Thomas Kithier from MSU.

Loyola’s team is returning besides King Krut. We have no chance

There will be some battles at the top with Drake, Mo State and Loyola. Assuming AJ Green comes back to what he was, UNI will be tough as well. After that, I wouldn't sleep on Valpo (to not be a Thursday team). They've brought in 3 Big 10 guys and a dude who shoots lights out from D2. Birds, Indy State, and Bradley will all be Thursday teams.

I bet they want to prove they can win without Krutwig.

Thanks - don't recall seeing Hedstrom mentioned up here when he went in the portal, but I did find the announcement he was leaving eventually. Article points out he had more fouls than points or rebounds in his career. Didn't see much PT at all, not sure how he'd do in the MVC. Sure has the size, can't coach that, as they say. 16 minutes total in 9 games this year, 1 basket made.

Brodie averaged .8 and .7 ppg at Seton Hall then came in and was one of the best big guys in the league.

Have to assume any big guy from a power 5 improves against MVC teams.

Plus my prediction record isn't all that good - I didn't think either Lynch or Robbins would cut it in the Big 10+. So what do I know?? ;)

Added Loyola's Paxson Wojcik. Portal rapidly approaching 1500.

Just to further display how quickly things change, Paxson Wojcik just retweeted a couple of days ago the "run it back" video Loyola put out with it's seniors who are coming back. Must have had a meeting with Valentine to talk about what his role would be with that. Life comes at you fast...

I mean really, there may never be a better year to recruit HS kids given all of the super seniors and all of the focus on the transfer portal. I just don't trust that the HS kid would still be here in a couple of years. Not just at ISU, all of the non P5 schools have a similar issue.

I agree with you. The question is can Muller develop them in time? Does he have enough time to watch them grow?
