Valpo has now added 3 Wisconsin transfers and 1 Michigan state transfer this offseason
Thanks for tracking this and the other "ear to the ground" stuff you do. Not sure how you're classifying the moves, but I think it's interesting that 75% of our guys moved "up", at least as I would assess it. And we had a "crap" team, most of us would agree, I think. Hard to figger . . . And as much as we bitch about "churning" of the roster (and I include myself), we lost relatively few guys compared to other schools.Final report on former MVC dudes and where they ended up. By my subjective count, 17 players went "down", 11 moved laterally, and five moved up.

Welcome to Illinois! The home of Le Roy, Vienna (Vy enna), and San Jose (Joe's)Thanks for tracking this and the other "ear to the ground" stuff you do. Another project would be to look at the incoming, and see how many are movin up, down or sideways. It would help speak to the whole unlimited transfer issue and whether, like I (and others on the board for sure) have thought, there'll be plenty of guys moving "down" from P5 teams to get a chance as move up to get an opportunity. So, we've got incoming from Utah St., Appy St., Tenn St., Des Moines CC. Couple up and a couple sideways?
And as an aside, why is it Diss Plains (Des Plaines Chicago burb) but Duh Moin (Des Moines in Ioway)??? Crazy stuff.
Of the five that “moved up”, it’s interesting that three of them are Redbirds. Says a lot about Muller that he arguably lead the league in talent, but couldn’t punch his way out of a wet paper bag.Final report on former MVC dudes and where they ended up. Just saw this post after I just posted about having the most talent yet being horrible. Thanks for tracking this and the other "ear to the ground" stuff you do. I knew somewhere, somehow, sometime, we'd find something to agree on!!Just saw this post after I just posted about having the most talent yet being horrible.
You beat me to the punch
Takes more than three good players to be a good team.Of the five that “moved up”, it’s interesting that three of them are Redbirds. Says a lot about Muller that he arguably lead the league in talent, but couldn’t punch his way out of a wet paper bag.
Maybe, but if you’re leading the league in talent, as evidenced by the fact that we had more hi-level P5 transfers than any other program, then one would think said program must have been competive - right?Takes more than three good players to be a good team.
Especially when one didn't play the entire season and one didn't play defense or make FTs the entire yearTakes more than three good players to be a good team.
