Strange year and I am not sure this years nonconference schedule gave a good read on all of the teams. Here is my prediction assuming all games are played.

1. Bradley (14-4) ... They drew the better teams at home
2. Loyola (13 - 5) great experience but on road against better team
3. SIU (12- 6)
4. Drake (10- 8) love their coach so far
5. Trees (9-9)
6. UNI (9-9) injuries plaguing Panthers
7. MSU ( 8-10)
8. Birds ( 7 - 11) road blues continue
9. Valpo (5 - 13)
10. Evansville (3 - 15)

I tried to pick some surprises and set the bar low for us. I doubt every team will play 18 games though.
1. Northern Iowa((14-4)
2. Loyola(13-5)
3. Indiana State(12-6)
4. Bradley(11-7)
5. Drake(10-8)
6. SIU(9-9)
7. Missouri State(7-11)
8. Valparaiso(6-12)
9. Illinois State(5-13)
10. Evansville(3-15)

That would be an impressive finish for UNI without AJ Green. Solid picks.

Is anybody else impressed (and maybe jealous) that Drake, despite losing Liam Robbins, and SIU are doing well? I am, and am concerned with the prospect of being a play-in team again. And it really irks me that Bradley is a contender. What does that say about the state of our program? It’s hard to accept.

So why is it so hard for some of you to admit ISU is now football school? The MBB cant compete in the MAC or the CUSA like the FB can and other sports programs could as well.

What does this have to do to with picking the conference standings?

The fact that everyone who participated picked them either 8th or 9th I think is a reflection that most folks on the board have low expectations for the team this year.

Drake shooting awesome from 3 against SIU.

The assistant coach Richter coached the Murphy twins and Wilkins at Jr College. Seems like that has led to more NW Indiana connections. They have 4 players from NW Indiana (Murphy, Wilkins, Hemphill, and Jackson) plus Penn is from Calumet City which is on the border right there.

I would imagine that Devries has to be on some school's radar.

I don't know who is choosing head men's basketball coaches at Drake but let's hire them. Good Lord. 2 for 2. Niko has CSU in first in the MWC.

pretty mind blowing.

drake has experienced backcourt but nobody saw 12-0 and a thrashing of SIU coming.

you have to wonder....it Devries was coaching Mullers players how much better would Mullers players be?

Drake up to 34th most votes in the AP poll. Knocking on being ranked in the top 25.
