Really hoping this kid signs with the birds. It would be interesting to see what he could do after he gets in our weight program.

If we could just beat out Western Michigan, Canicius, Alabama State, San Houston State, and Tennessee-Martin, we can get him.

Guys of his size create absolute anarchy in the Valley. Krutwig isn't particularly great at anything, but him being a piece of heavy machinery with decent feet make him arguably the most difficult post player to defend in the league.

If you can get this guy (who is still growing, mind you) at 6'9.5'', 265, the lane is effectively closed.

He'd probably just get a stress fracture. sorry, I couldn't resist.

Unfortunately given the current state of our program those schools you mention provide stiff competition.

Visited Western Michigan over the weekend. One thing that may be bad about getting a kid like this...he seems to have a handler. His AAU coach seems VERY involved with his recruitment.

Isn't that the case more often than not these days?

Yes. AAU coaches are often very involved. The ones who are loudest publicly about their kids are the ones to keep an eye on.

Agree. For Wright's AAU coach, I get the sense that he's trying to get more attention for the kid where there has been very little. In that sense, he's doing well by his kid. I think weight and qualifying were holding back his recruitment. Titus has now qualified and has worked on bringing his weight down, so coach is talking him up.

Now, if he gets in the way of who can recruit Titus, then that might be going too far.

Complaints from those who didn’t want him in the first place about not winning recruits against “lesser” programs coming in 3 .... 2 ...........
