Kolton Mitchell, 6'4 pg out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

No idea if we're actually recruiting him but he recently followed a handful of members of #RedbirdTwitter.

He seems to be a pass-first slasher who would rather drive to the bucket than shoot a jumper. Very good court vision from what I see. Not as explosive, but I would put a player comp as Elijah Clarence.

Rumor has it Bryan Greenlee will be on campus this weekend. 6 foot PG. If he doesn't commit, we'll bring Mitchell over.

So it looked like Iowa had him wrapped up last fall, took an official visit, etc. What happened? Rivals moved him to a top-50 PG ranking in December (but still only a 3-star?). Not saying it's all good or bad, just wondering how he ended up visiting ISU?

He's listed at 6'3 on that link. That's a great frame for a PG. Any tape?

Little video of Greenlee. He's probably like a Keyshawn-Evans like 6-foot, but thicker.

#0 in black if you want to watch a full game. He starts out with a bad turnover, a foul, and a pull up 3-pointer swish, followed by a no look assist. So... do with that what you will.

Seems to handle the ball well. Like that he is looking to pass first, but will hit a three if you leave him open. Didn’t see him take it to the rim (only watched the first half).
Who is #22 in white😳 Dude can take it to the rim & finish with authority!!! He is definitely a baller!

Looks like a kid who isn't afraid to stick his nose in there, and appears to be a PG who can shoot as opposed to a shooter masquerading as a PG. He seems to see the floor well too. It's pretty easy to see why Iowa was in on him.

One thing I've liked about both this kid and Mitchell is that they both have their eyes up court and look to push the ball, but aren't doing it just to do it. They seem to throw their passes forward with intent.

I like the defense from Greenlee just a bit above Mitchell based on the 1 game of each I've seen. Greenlee seems more apt to stay in front. Mitchell looked a little bit in chase mode.

I'd probably take both of these kids to be honest. Mainly because if this kid comes in and excels he may look to bounce at a high major transfer offer. The other kid seems to genuinely like ISU based off his social media engagement. I could be reading it wrong and making a terrible assumption about Greenlee, but knowing what's been going around college basketball with regards to this transfer epidemic I'd be inclined to stock as many PG as you can get as this point, especially with 3 scholarships on the table.
