Kid is starting to blow up. The offers haven't come in yet but he has picked up interest from the likes of Belmont, Florida, Florida State, West Virginia, Creighton, Cincinnati, Xavier, and Kentucky.

He already holds the record for 3 pointers made in his HS with just shy of 200 before his senior season. 2,697 pts 1,044 rebs w/ 1 season left.

He has a connection to Aaron Holmes (coaches the prep school Rey went to.)
He is friends with EKU transfer, and ISU target Dedric Boyd. (They would play 3 years together here).
He's a HUGE UK fan.

It'd be a steal if we could get him to sign in the Fall before all these schools start to offer. They will probably start offering this summer.

When Portillo's decided to come to Normal they were considering moving into the Bone center. Can you imagine how great that would have been for recruiting, especially the Chicago recruits? I'm glad they didn't move there. I work on campus and I would be 450 lbs by now...far too convenient...

Dontaie Allen, SF/PF, MATTS Mustangs
Playing off one of the major shoe circuits it is tough to get out and see Allen as much, but college coaches definitely made their way to the Terrific 24 to check in on this Kentucky native. Allen is a highly skilled prospect who can do a little bit of everything at 6-foot-6. He isn't the most fluid or explosive athlete, but Allen creates a ton of space with his step back jumper, and then also has an excellent looking shooting stroke. Beyond that Allen can pass, is a solid rebounder, and makes others better as well. It is a matter of time before he begins to get high-major offers.
