I am not sold on McCray. The best thing I saw was a few of his passes and baby hook. Not one jump shot. If he drops about 25 pounds and gets quicker maybe. I see a lot of fouls with him in the middle ... reaches on block attempts and no vertical at all.

I remember this kid coming in a while back. Big kid. Wide body. Physically strong. Couldn't jump. Couldn't make a jumper outside ten feet. Never dunked, not sure he even could though he was 6-7, 6-8. You couldn't move him off his spot either.

Actually I can think of 3 kids who fit that description pretty well. Two of them played together. The other was much farther back in Redbird history.

Who were they?

Not sold on him, hmmm, you watching Loyola?

This guy is everything ISU needs. There is no substitute for strength and size to take up space. With him in the middle, it makes Fayne and Malik extremely difficult match ups. Look at how much space Krutwig takes up in the middle.

Get him signed up now.
I just looked up his stats...he fouled out 8 of 29 games. He averaged just over 3.5 fouls per game in just over 21 minutes per game. Also 1.7 turnovers per game. That's a lot for a big. Like I said I am not sold on him. His feet are slow and he is reaching on his blocks. Krutwig looks much better.

Just like every kid who can make a 3 off the dribble is Steph Curry, not every guy with size is going to be Krutwig. Krutwig has great hands and feet and can pass really well.

:text-+1: Anyone who has ever played against a coke machine knows how much space they take up. You can't teach strength and size. He would move David around like a rag doll. Really it's no fun playing against Krutwig type players. Even if your a foot taller. You can't maintain your position for a rebound. The elite NCAA teams all have at least one of these guys.

Then we’ll never have one.

The elite guys have big bodies that are athletic. Wil Ransom was 6'8" 252 pounds according to ISU roster and I didn't care for his game. Just because your big, doesn't mean your athletic or effective. I am only looking at the video and his stats and obviously the coaches have much more information. If by chance he lands here, I will root for him and hopefully I am wrong. I just don't see it from this footage and some of the stats support my suspicions.

Michael Finke transferring out of the University of Illinois. Will be curious to see if Muller takes a shot at recruiting him at all.

I would guess Finke goes to Grand Canyon to play a year with his brother.

Yeah that's what I've thought since the younger Finke committed to Grand Canyon. I would definitely take Te'Jon Lucas though, I feel like he could excel here. Pass first guy, can't score that well but can finish around the basket.

I'm not seeing much in Amel Kuljuhovics highlight tape that jumps out as being a good addition to our team.

Amel Kuljuhovics picked up an offer from Indiana State and Murray State.

He hasn't picked up much interest yet. Current offers from Pacific, IUPUI, Milwaukee, and South Dakota State.

Lorenzo Romar is the new Pacific coach. He'll do some good che... recruiting. SDSU will be back in the tournament if Daum stays. Milwaukee is home.

Illinois transfer Te’Jon Lucas will take an unofficial visit to Bradley on Friday, per source. Sit one, play two
